An emerald-cut stone on 18-karat gold

A Colombian emerald in an emerald cut, raised on four claws hidden under the lip of the gold, so nothing of the setting shows and the stone seems suspended in the metal. The shoulders taper to make the stone read larger, and the gold is 18 karat because a ring that carries a stone wants the harder alloy.
